Medical Massage uses various techniques to help aid in the recovery of specific ailments. Medical Massage is best for medical concerns diagnosed by your doctor. This can include car accidents, falls, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, high blood pressure, diabetes, chronic neck, and back pain to name a few. Using these techniques and a series of visits, I provide a targeted treatment plan.
Neuromuscular Massage Therapy (NMT)
NMT is a highly-specialized and extremely focused method, using multiple techniques. NMT is utilized to treat just one painful area of the body at a time. Not only is NMT used to reduce and eliminate your pain but also to restore function. NMT generally will take at least a few sessions to properly treat a given condition. NMT is best used for those suffering from chronic pain that is caused by more serious dysfunctions. These could include nerve damage, nerve compression, neural entrapment, ischemia, myofascial trigger points, dysfunctional gait patterns, and more. NMT is also used for correcting imbalances in the body caused by poor postural habits or faulty movement patterns (i.e., poor lifting habits, computer keyboarding, bad mechanics in a golf swing or tennis stroke). Nerve entrapment and trigger points (points of extreme discomfort that cause pain to other areas of the body) are commonly addressed with NMT.
T-Bars are an innovative tool that is often used during NMT treatments. This helps isolate trigger points and give your massage therapist the appropriate leverage to treat those tight and painful areas.
Promotes deeper relaxation and warms the muscles. Arguably, the principal benefit of clay wraps, is that they can detoxify the skin while reducing excess oil and getting rid of pore-clogging impurities while being hydrating and calming.
Scrubs are mixed with an oil to moisturize and nourish the skin. Moisturizing is an important step to maintain your skin’s healthy cells and to protect it from irritation. By moisturizing your skin, you can reduce your chances of any skin problems. Essential oils can be added to scrubs for further holistic benefits.
Proper exfoliation removes the barrier of dead skin cells clogging the skin and uncovers fresh new cells below. This opens the way for wellness products to penetrate more deeply into the skin, which makes them more effective. In short, a regular exfoliating routine will leave your skin looking fresh and healthy and promote better circulation.
Smoothing and softening of rough, dry skin.
Drawing out impurities and clearing congestion.
Freeing ingrown hairs and smoothing razor bumps.
Aromatherapy uses essential oils in wraps, oils, and body butter adding additional health benefits to your treatment. Our essential oils are 100% pure and natural. Sourced from sustainable origins & undergo quality extraction processes. We seek to deliver the ultimate experience of high-quality therapeutic grade products for you to indulge in.
Carrier oils are used for two reasons. The first is that essential oils are volatile and will quickly evaporate when used on their own. A carrier oil 'carries' the oil to the skin and allows for better absorption into the skin. The second is that essential oils when in concentrated form, can cause irritation to the skin. Essential oils should never be applied directly to the skin, without a blend using a carrier oil.
All of our blends, not including inhalers, are mixed with different carrier oils to best match the essential oils being used.
Never use a blend with a carrier oil in diffusers.
Finishing Body Butter
Infused with essential oils, Body Butter prolong the benefits of aromatherapy, by allowing them to continue to soak into the body. They moisturize and nourish protecting the top layer of skin.
